Vote today!!

Today is our voting day for the Doodle Genie Contest!  Since we had a managable amount of entrys, I'm making it easy on myself and holding just 1 round this time....so at 5:00 it's OVER!  Hopefully the winners will be announced right after...but I gave myself until tomorrow morning just in case the afternoon gets crazy.

This week has been so quiet...I LOVE IT!  Last week.....after NSD....oh man I thought I would never get caught up before leaving for the last weekend of our scout training my dh and I have been helping with... so it's definately been the calm after the storm and I'm so grateful!  It's catch-up time in ALL aspects of my life right now and I need to take advantage!  My son is home from college for a week so we've been going to lunch daily....something I've taken away from myself the past 30 days as life has been too busy to take!

So anyhow....I love calm!

As far as new arrivals...I think the next thing coming is from Making Memories...they still have 2 big lines releasing before the next convention. 

There is the Travel Line

that will be here the 1st week of June....they sent samples a few weeks back and I really like it!  And then the last of their CHA release will be here close to the same time

FUNKY VINTAGE...   This is a LOUD LINE full of color!

Then that is IT until July CHA when my dh is joining me in Chicago!  If anyone can suggest something fun to do while we are there, let me know...I'm all about 1 day of work and 2 days of play while we are in town!  I attend conventions WAY different then most.  I have an agenda...I do NOT window shop...the night before, I attend the MM VIP party, put my order in there so I don't have to stop by their booth unless there is a drawing going on!!  I am IN LINE the morning of Day 1 and almost RUN to BasicGrey to grab a number...then I relax.  They do things weird there...you grab a number then when you do get back to put in your order...they staple it to the top and that declares what order yours is filled and shipped!  And a difference of 20 numbers could mean a different day your order arrives...which is HUGE when our clientele is IMPATIENT and demands new product QUICKLY!! (huh girls?)!

But anyhow....I visit all my favorite companies, chat with my favorite reps from each...go to lunch with Justin from Chatterbox, grab some awesome sugar cookies from Pressed Petals, (and steal one for Madison from MME), put in my orders and I'm DONE in usually about 6 hours!  It's not stressful for me... it's lots of fun!

So anyhow...I need ideas with what to do with my other 2 days in Chicago with my dh...so HELP!

ok, better get to work...we have over 200 votes already this morning for the contest...gotta get a grip on those before they are out of control!

I FINALLY made time to scrap again!

Well, my dh talked me into joining him at our cabin up in the mountains for the long holiday!  He is in charge of a big scout camp (along with my brother) and had to 'save spots' in the forest.....so my SIL and her kids and I packed up our scrapbooking stuff ( OH I AM JUST NOT PORTABLE ANYMORE!) and headed up on Friday and got home at midnight last night!  I have not scrapped in SO SO SO long....I had so much fun!  I finished 26 pages in one of my sons books....it is now caught up to March of THIS YEAR!!!  WOOHOO!!  We have 2 more scrappin dates planned for the summer...so I'm hoping I can get my family book and my other sons books totally caught up by the end of Summer!  Oh...and my new favorite product is the shimmer chipboard letters from MM...I used them on 2 LO'S and LOVE THEM!

ok...enough about vacations!  The newest Funky Vintage line arrived and it's flying out the door....I actually like it more then when I first saw it at the convention!  I'll have to expand and see if I can use it a little on my next crop in a few weeks!  The problem is...I only have sons...so it's really frustrating that all the new stuff is so girly....and to make it harder...they are 17 and 19....MOST Of the boy stuff is "LITTLE BOY' stuff!

So back to work....lots of orders to get processed from being away the weekend!
