Say Hello!!

Well, I've joined the blog world!  I've always had different opinions of blogs...the negative for me.....if I ever get on and read one.....pretty soon it's 4 hours later and I've wasted 1/2 my day...so I tend to steer clear of them!  But so many people have told me to do it, for business reasons, I thought I'd give it a try and see....I think another question.... why would anyone care what is going on with me/us?  But I've been told it is a great tool to get out information about new releases and scrapbooking news and issues quickly...so we shall see how it goes!

CHA was alot of fun!  I actually took my mom this time and she just cracked me up!  I've nick-named her the 'make n take' queen!  She almost ran from one booth to another making, learning, having a ball, "ALL FOR FREE" as she would put it!  She isn't a HUGE scrapper like me, but loves to do it when she doesn't get overwhelmed at all the product and how many years behind she is!  But her favorite was the jewelry and ProvoCrafts 'looms' display!  She heads up a big Humanitarian Group for our church and buys looms by the dozens from PC so was anxious to visit there and even learned how to 'tie off' a new sized loom!

So enough about mom...oh wait...she is pictured at chatterbox's booth on their CHA blog!!  She was actually praying she WOULDN'T get drawn for their 'free at 3' giveaway cuz Justin makes you get ON the table with him and dance and sing...it's so dang embarressing!  This time I heard it was doing the funky chicken, little tea cup, and one other... I can't remember what it was!  (Yes, I sent mom and kept shopping!)

So speaking of Chatterbox....LOVE their products....LOVE their sales reps...but to be honest, I usually spend about $3500 at each show on their stuff....I spent maybe $400.  I was so sad that they didn't have much new product to sell.  They had a great new sales idea called the "Red Label Retailer" program, but it isn't for online stores.  They had gorgeous wall units and display racks they wanted us to buy with a DVD attached doing demos.....again...not helpful for online stores!  But they did have about 20 new papers to add to some existing lines that are beautiful, but that's it!  Justin says the Doodle Genies will be here by the end of this month (ahead of schedule!)

The Making Memories VIP party was lots of fun!  They hold a special party the night before the convention that only their VIP retailers get invited to!  This year we made the VIP Super Star status which is a great accomplishment for a huge company like MM!  The past 2 years we've been Star Status, so it's exciting to know we are still growing and 'important' in their eyes!   OF COURSE every single new item was ordered!  It's going up on the site daily as we have time!  I think my favorite item is the 'Embellishment Center'....you will love it !!  I can't wait to put one or 2 up in my own scrapbook room!

My Minds Eye was probably the busiest booth.  Madison is awesome and takes great care of me.  I have NEVER in my life seen a MAN that can multi-task like he can!  Imagine a booth, full of younger guys selling scrapbooking products to women....they have chocolate all over the place!  My DH about died laughing last year when he tagged along wth me in Chicago!  But the new Tres Jolie and Signature Life lines are awesome like we'd expect....the images went up on our website tonight!

BasicGrey has 4 new lines that will actually be shipping out sometime this week...I haven't received the exact date yet, but they said it would be the week of the 5th!  But they are awesome as expected...we bought 60 collection packs of each line so we wouldn't sell out in a week this time!!

Well, it's midnight...see what I mean..there went an hour or so!  But it's a brief update of CHA, there is so much more...but that gives you a taste!

It's FRIDAY!!

It's Friday!  I LOVE Friday's!  Saturday and Sunday are tradionally family days where we don't work, and we be totally lazy together all day!  BUT, this weekend will be different.  MY dh is taking me on a cruise for Valentines Day and about now I'm starting to freak out with all that I need to do before we leave.  I am concerned the CHA stuff will start coming in....I've emailed all my reps to get SOME KIND of date...especially BasicGrey.  She says her best guess is middle of next week.....WHILE I'M GONE!!! AAARRRGGGG!!  So before I leave, I will have the newsletter all ready to email out, so my assistant can just click "send" when we find out it is heading our way!  They got all of the Bazzill cardstock kits together yesterday that match the new BG, so at least those are ready!  In MY perfect world, the BG will arrive Friday when I come back home!

I ordered the YW line from WeR and it just got here....I'll try to make time to load it up b4 we leave!  If you don't know what YW means....then you probably won't be interested!  It's a 'church' term for young women!

Emailed Justin from Chatterbox yesterday, their new papers aren't coming until the 2nd week in March, so still have time to get those up on the site!  Lists....lists....lists.... oh man, I never finished the Q&Co... I started that at about 6:00 last night when my dh pulled up called me from the driveway saying, 'get in the car, let's go grab food and play cards at your parents!"  we never played cards cuz Survivor was on when we got there....we are HUGE Survivor fans!  Interesting way to begin the season this year, huh?  That chic at Exhile is going to be TICKED she doesn't get to live at the place she built!

OK, I have GOT to go help get the orders ready to ship today so I can get 'other' stuff done later this afternoon...oh ya...it's dh birthday tomorrow, so tonight I'm taking him to the Suns Game...great seats.. and Kincaids for dinner downtown with my brother and SIL, so I have to be done working by 4:00!!!  It WILL happen!!  Ooops..that was a surprise.. well he is gone for the day so he won't see this!

Oh wait...one more thing...did anyone see the Oprah last week...or this week....I don't know when it was cuz we tivo everything...when Paula Deen was on there and dropped the vanilla bowl in the Kitchenaid WHILE it was mixing???? OHMYGOSH I was up in bed at like midnight LAUGHING my head off it was the funniest thing ever!!!  I don't know why I just thought of that...but it was hysterical!!  Paula had dough all over her back that sprayed out....it looked like her and Oprah were going to pee their pants they were laughing so hard!

What a week!

Well, today is Saturday!  The vacation was alot of fun, very relaxing...not my favorite cruise, as far as where we went (Catalina and Ensanada), but still fun to get away with my dh!

While we were gone the new Provo Craft Cricut Cartridges arrived (EXCEPT for the Disney ones of course) but they look fun!  I also ordered the fun tins in all different shapes and sizes too...some arrived, some will come on March 20th!

BasicGrey shipped out yesterday...I was kinda bummed as they called me last week stating it would ship on Thursday, so we'd have it today, but yesterday I received actual shipping confirmation that it's arriving Tuesday.  But at least that gives us a chance to get caught up from being gone all week before the craziness hits!!

The cute Young Women's line from WeR came in too and it's loaded on the site!

Bazzill emailed, saying our order is shipping this week too...but to be honest I can't remember what they had...other than SMOOTH paper....interesting!  They said customers are requesting smooth paper for cardmaking...I have to be honest, I never thought smooth paper would be popular again!  We ordered the multi-packs, and then I remember they've now added another color to each of the Bling multi-packs....but I know neither of those items is shipping this week....OK Now I have to go find my order....ALRIGHT - Here is what should be coming this week:  Quotes by Bazzill, Chipboard Tags, 2007 Swatch Books, Cardstock with an edge shapes, and New Washboard and Burlap multi-packs in 'cool' and 'warm'.  That was it for Bazzill this convention.

Ok, better get back to work....I got up at 6:30 to get a good start today....sometimes when you leave for a week you come back wondering if it was really worth it!!  But it was!  My dh had to leave the 2nd we pulled in the driveway for a District Scout Camporee he is in charge of...so he will be just DEAD when he gets home tonight!

I'm off to get the Valentine's Day Card Contest under way!

IT'S HERE!!! My Minds Eye!

Just received shipping confirmation that the new lines from MME will be here tomorrow!!  OH MAN... SIGH....!  I mean... WOOHOO!!!  If you only new how much work it is to put those kits together!!  I start recruiting my friends daughters to come help and we assembly line the entire process!!  But it's worth it, huh?  Now i get to start stressing about WHERE do I put it!  32 NEW Kits for Tres Jolie... and then there's Signature Life!!  We'll make it work....we always do somehow!  I think it's time for a REALLY BIG Clearance sale to get rid of some of this older stuff!!

We also received the Chatterbox Journal Genies again today, so those are orderable again!  I'm still trying to come up with a good contest for the JG's, mainly cuz I want to see all your cute LO's with them!

Ok, it's after 7:00 and I need to get the newsletter rollin so everyone that's been IMPATIENTLY emailing me will know they are available now!!  Thank goodness DH is with DS at Suns Game tonight!

Finally getting caught up!!!

WOW... what a month this has been!!!

I almost thought I was going to drown....this has been crazy!  I hired 3 new girls last week...and wow... let me tell ya...HELP IS GOOD!!  My husband said to me the other day....do you realize you are doing the job of 5 people?  He was right!  There are actually NO Boxes lined up in hallways that need to be put away... I can SEE the floor! I have a new girl helping with the website and putting all the new stuff up for me!!

Today I found out GOOD news and BAD news!  BAD FIRST????  The Disney Cartridges from PC are late and not coming until mid April now....UUGGHH!  GOOD----The Queen & Co stuff will ALL be in on Monday so our order will be here Wed!  I just changed it all to 'orderable' so you can get yours first before we send out the newsletter!

Now for my REALLY good news!!!  I found out today we GOT Martha Stewart tickets while we are in NYC in April!!!  I know.....(sigh) this is NON scrapping news...but I had to share!  Me and 3 good friends are heading to NYC for my 40th.....girls week....I'm so excited!!  We are seeing WICKED too!!  So anyhow... we had to submit for the MS tickets like 3 months ago and found out today they ARE in studio the days we are there!!  So we will be in the audience on the 26th!!  WOOHOO!!

ok....I must head to bed!  Had to send a quick update!  There is other news...but I put that on the website!

Doodle Genies ~

Ok....

I HATE DOODLE GENIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JUST KIDDING!!!  I am REALLY frustrated with all you crazy girls ordering these things like they are chocolate or something!!  K...this is the truth.....when did they first come out???  Like...Nov??  I went through 500 of these things in a month...seriously....then they started to taper off......then CB was out of them.  Justin emailed me on March 1st to tell me they were back in stock...so I ordered approx 100.  SOLD OUT before they even got here!  So....I re-order on the 10th, another  100....SOLD OUT before they got here.  I ordered 100 MORE on the 16th...and seriously I thought I had ordered so many extra this time.......I came up 10 short!  SO....on the 21st I ordered yet ANOTHER 136!!  MY QUESTION:  You DO know they are reusable right???? HAHHA  I'm kidding!! 

SO!!!  The Doodle Genie craze!!  I can't wait to get the Doodle Genie contest going so I can see what you guys are doing with these things!!  If I ever had time to scrap anymore I'd try them out too!!!!

Just when I felt caught up......

Man.........we actually went the entire weekend, AND Monday without boxes lined up with no place to go....and it ends today!  MUCH to our surprise....MORE new MM product arrived that we weren't even expecting!  So .... my new wonderful helper is going to miraculously find room in our crammed packed space! 

But the exciting part is the stuff is just dang cute!!  Grommets with words on them...new Jumbo Blossoms with fun Pebble brads, Mini Metal Index Tabs w/ Words, Sweets Tags & Flowers & Hearts, Metal Word Fetti, Rub-On Books, and new sheer frame combos!!

Happy Birthday to me!

Well, last week I was out of the office to serve on staff at a scout leader training week....this time, I get to go have fun!!!  3 of my girlfriends and I are heading to NYC to celebrate my 40th!!  Of course the guilt is setting in today since I'm 'hardly' caught up from being gone last week....but I'm going, and I'm going to have a ball!!  We have tickets to see "Wicked", we will be on "Martha Stewart" on Thursday....plus lots more fun stuff planned!!

The good news is we were able to catch up on all the orders yesterday....hopefully my HOUSE will get caught up tonight!

Most of the CHA Product has arrived.....MM still has another big line coming out in May, then their new TRAVEL line will hit soon as well!

I'm going to announce the "DOODLE GENIE" contest today...so that will be fun as I want to see all the ways all you scrappers are using them on your LO'S!

Home Again!!

Ok, so I am back from NYC!
Wow...that was really exciting!  So much to do....but after 4 days, I was ready to come home!

We saw WICKED, Stomp, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Beauty and the Beast!  Ate lunch at Serendipity3 at the CLOCK Table!!  Shopped at Tiffanys!  Strolled thru Central Park! Bought myself a new Dooney & Bourke...wow, so much better to FIND a D&B store rather than depend on what the local department store carries!  DANGEROUS!!!

But anyhow....back to work....8 huge boxes of new MM stuff here waiting for me...so I need to make sure it all got loaded on the site properly while I was gone...then on to orders!!
